

51 year old male patient presented with hip and back pain for a period of 6 months. He had been having great difficulty with stairs, squatting, accessing his car, putting his shoes on, tying his shoelaces as well as arising from low chairs.
On clinical and radiological examination, he was assessed as having severe osteoarthritis of both hips.
Bilateral hip replacement was recommended. Right hip replacement occurred in 2009 followed by left hip replacement after one year.
Patient has gone onto complete recovery with a satisfactory clinical outcome.
